Guardian Families
Our breeding program would not be able to happen without guardian homes for our breeding dogs.
A guardian home is a way for our breeding dogs to go straight to their loving forever homes as pets and come back to us for breeding. As a guardian, you will get one of our exceptional puppies that we think will benefit our breeding program the puppy will come to you between 8-10 weeks old at no cost. They come to live with you as your own dog and we retain breeding rights. The puppy will need to complete their health testing and pass to join our breeding program. Joreese Australian Cobberdogs will cover the cost of all breeding fees and test. A guardian family takes care of the normal cost and care of the dog. When mature the female will come back to us for mating, When the mother of puppies is close to her due date she will come back to us for birthing and stay with us until the puppies are weaned. Guardian males come back to us for a few day at a time during breeding season.
We ask that our guardian families live one hour drive away from where we live. Other requirements:
- Guardian families have a well-fenced yard at all times.
- To cover all normal veterinary costs like vaccinations.
- Someone home more hours a week.
- Be committed to adequate socialization and training (puppy school, basic obedience)
